From storytelling to strategy
I first realized I wanted to be a writer at 11, drafting the beginnings of my first novel.
That love for storytelling led me to a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Mumbai, where I graduated in the top 1% of my class and served on the editorial committee for Mithaas, a magazine reaching over 10,000 students.
In 2020, I pursued a Master of Journalism at the University of British Columbia, specializing in political policy and global affairs. Exploring media representation ignited my passion for independent journalism—the underdogs keeping their communities informed against all odds.
This passion evolved into a career at the intersection of digital media, audience engagement, and communication strategy—first as a journalist at The Tyee, then as an audience strategist at Indiegraf Media, and now as a freelance digital media and communications consultant helping businesses craft compelling narratives and build meaningful connections.
